Wordbar is a writing tool that sits alongside your word processor, giving you almost instant access to words and phrases you need. It consists of a grid of cells, each of which holds a word or phrase which can be sent to the word processor by clicking on it.

The words and phrases can be read out before inserting them. A number of English voices are supplied and words can be read in any language for which you have the relevant speech synthesis engine. Wordbar is ideal for older pupils who need vocabulary support with their writing. The grids can be personalised by changing the size of the grid and font and colour of each cell.

Ready-to-use Wordbar grids can be downloaded free from the Learning Grids web site.
