Hi,

I'm Sharon and I'm here to support Special Educational Needs Coordinators (SENCos) deliver ‘dyslexic best practice’ by offering useful, relevant and practical advice.

Technology can transform the lives of dyslexic learners; however the key is to get the right piece of specialist software and/or hardware to meet the needs of the dyslexic individual and this task is often allocated to the SENCo.

As a former SENCo, I understand how time-consuming searching for the right dyslexia solution can be, without the added pressure of a limited budget. Accordingly my role as an Education Consultant, working with a team of specialists at iansyst Ltd, allows me to provide you with independent and impartial advice to help you make the right decisions for your pupils.

There are key pieces of software which I recommend and these will be written about under ‘Software – The Staple Diet’, as there are a variety of products which address the areas of difficulties that people with dyslexia experience.

When considering purchasing software there are always important questions that should be considered and I have provided you with a tick box scenario to help you with your decision making.

Using Case Studies I hope to show you the benefits and results of how individuals have flourished into independent and confident learners.
