Seminars And Technology Update Series

Our experienced staff run a wide range of seminars and workshops, from in-depth technology updates to hand-ons workshop sessions. Periodically, as part of our service to professionals involved in special needs provision, we run series of one-day seminars in various venues across the UK. We aim our seminars and workshops at:

  • Needs Assessors and Access Centre Managers for the Disabled Students Allowance and Access To Work.
  • Special Needs, Literacy and IT Coordinators and Classroom Assistants in primary and secondary education.
  • College and University Disability Officers and Learning Support Staff.
  • Job Centre Disability Officers and HR professionals.
  • Educational Psychologists and Dyslexia Tutors.
  • Other Professionals who advise on ICT, dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties in education and the workplace.

Typically, a seminar day will include:

  • previews and demonstrations of new applications and gadgets (including demonstrations of the latest software);
  • presentations specific to the delegates' sector;
  • a seminar pack and certificate of attendance.

As well as a chance to keep abreast of developments, these seminars present an opportunity for networking and exchanging ideas and information on an informal basis with your fellow professionals. Our seminars are presented by our dyslexia consultants and technology experts so that you not only learn about the technology but also about best practice for implementing it.

Frequently we gear our seminars to different educational sectors and in the past we have run sessions for in primary, secondary and post-16 education – and assistive technology in the workplace as well.

Check our Events page for forthcoming seminar programmes; or, if you would like to be on our mailing list, we can let you know when the next series is due to take place; just email us.
