RocketReader helps increase reading speed, comprehension and memory skills

Many children and adults with dyslexia find that while their reading skills improve over time, their reading remains slow. Others may find it difficult to track text along a line, or have visual perception difficulties which affect their reading and memory skills. Rocket Reader contains material suitable for all ages and can be adapted to any ability making it an ideal tool for developing and practising reading and comprehension.

RocketReader includes:

• Flash training for improving speed of visual processing
• Grouping exercises for learning to read chucks of text at once
• Comprehension testing based on the wide range of practice texts
• Memory tests cover maths, science and English or you can add your own topics
• Progress is continually monitored and difficulty of tasks is automatically adjusted
• Use the testing components to provide information on student's reading speed and comprehension
• Appearance of RocketReader is fully customisable, including changing background colours, font size and style to allow for individual preferences
• Over 300 practice texts to choose between, including over 40 stories aimed at the 8-13 age group and up to university level. Alternatively you can use your own web pages, Office or PDF files
• Multi-packs can be installed on a network and include a teacher's monitoring facility, while students can access their settings across the network
