Welcome

Author -Jan Taylor
I was driving my husband mad last night whilst we watched the film, (Live Free or) Die Hard 4. Oh yes, I loved the film - I’m all for a bit of ‘hero-saves-the-day’ and there’s nothing like some escapism for relaxing at the end of the day.

OK, so Bruce Willis may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I enjoyed the outrageous action packed scenes and his ability to survive what mere mortals like myself wouldn’t begin to imagine, let alone do - jumping out of cars and lorries, falling through ceilings and off of crumbling bridges and with so little obvious bruising (although according to Wikipedia both Bruce Willis and his stunt double were injured).

Dell Inspiron - Flamingo Pink

But I digress; you’re wondering what was driving my husband mad? Well all through the film was this amazing array of gadgetry; from an Alienware computer, as well as a host of laptops - although not the delightful pink Dell Inspiron (OK, so I’m being a bit of a girl!). There were roll-out keyboards for easy portability; flashy mobile phones, unfortunately not with CapturaTalk - like ours, and there was even a scene with some voice analysis going on, not too dissimilar to Audio Notetaker, which we use to annotate digital recordings. Or maybe that was the previous night’s entertainment.  Anyway, I kept saying to my long-suffering husband: “We do that” and “We sell that”, and “I know about Alienware, it’s the latest, powerhouse computer from Dell and we do that as well!”

its4students

And yes we really do; iansyst has now launched a new web site so all this amazing and necessary technology which is part and parcel of everyday life can be obtained in one easy place:

You may be wondering why we have launched this site.

iansyst have specialised in supplying students in receipt of a Disabled Students Allowance equipment to meet their needs to complete their courses successfully, so we have plenty of experience meeting students technology requirements. We have forged excellent working relationships with top brand manufacturers such as: Apple, Toshiba, Dell, Olympus, Canon, Adobe, Nuance, MindGenius, TextHelp and  LiveScribe amongst many others; so we can now bring ALL students the same opportunity to purchase high quality products and student computer software at affordable prices.

Microsoft Office Applications

For many years parents have wanted to purchase laptops for their children whilst they are still in compulsory education. There are a range of laptops starting with the Dell Inspiron, (including the pretty pink one!) which is a good general purpose, reasonably priced, laptop. These are ideal for school work; being suitable for Microsoft Office Applications, text to speech software and other assistive technology software, like  mind mapping programmes.

So take a peek at the site: www.its4students.co.uk and see what you think; I’m sure you’ll love it.

Whilst you’re looking at the site, please ‘Share’ your find with others, by clicking on the ‘Share and Bookmark’   link on the site.

I’d be truly grateful.
