WordSmart is an interactive software tool for teaching phonic skills for reading and spelling using a synthetic phonics approach

WordSmart introduces phonic patterns in a systematic structured way, in line with the revised National Literacy Strategy, and reflects phases two to four as described in 'Letters and Sounds.'

WordSmart works either as a standalone desktop application or in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard. It is supplied with pre-determined word lists or the teacher can adapt the word lists to match the needs of a class or individual student.

The progress of individuals can be monitored by the tracking of lessons using functionality built into the program.
