EasyConverter provides accessibility of the written word in alternative formats

EasyConverter quickly creates Large Print, MP3, DAISY and Braille versions of written materials that can either be scanned from paper, or input from Word, PDF, html or text files.

It is designed for use in schools, colleges, universities, companies and government organisations. This simple tool ensures that the legislation of inclusion can be met easily and effectively, by providing people with the format of their preference from the written word.

Original documents can be stored and converted in moments so at any time a new format can be provided depending on the needs of the individual, especially useful for those with dyslexia or visual impairment.

Please note that each licence provides two installs of the full product.

You will need:

• Microsoft Windows 2003, XP Home, XP Pro or Vista
• Pentium IV 2Ghz or equivalent
• 512MB RAM or higher
• 500MB Free hard disk space
• Microsoft Office Word: 2000, XP (2002), 2003 or 2007
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0
• Microsoft XML 4 (if not already present on the system, this will be installed as part of the Dolphin EasyConverter installation)

• Scanner: a TWAIN compatible scanner will enable the input of printed documentation
• SAPI 5 compliant TTS synthesiser: a software text-to-speech synthesiser that will allow for the automated recording of text into an MP3 format. Dolphin EasyConverter will install a compatible TTS as part of the installation process
• Braille translator program: software to convert text to Braille
• Braille embosser: hardware device to print Braille documents
• Printer: hardware device to print large print documents
