Highly acclaimed literacy activity program.

Developed in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University, the Catch Up Programme is an intensive intervention program for children with reading difficulties. These CD-Roms's were designed as part of the Catch Up Core programme but due to their appealing presentation and interactive activities they has become popular as a stand-alone tools. Research has shown that this software can produce higher motivation and concentration levels as well as improved reading and spelling of high frequency words.

CD-ROM 1 consists of 22 educational games set over five highly-motivating activities for children aged 6-11 with NC reading level 1 or 2c and in need of additional support. The activities are based on high frequency word lists, rhymes, initial digraphs, picture-cued nouns and story words. Scores for each individual user saved as they progress through the programme.

CD-ROM 2 builds on the skills developed in the first CD-ROM to provide a further 22 games accessed through 5 entertaining worlds for children aged 6-11 with NC reading level 2c-3c. This CD-ROM provides a carefully structured programme of games and the opportunity for supervising adults to prioritise those games that most effectively match the individual child's needs.

• Rain Forest Journey: high frequency words
• Return from the Red Planet: initial sounds, clusters, digraphs
• The Rally Racing: high frequency words

CD-ROM 2 consists of

• Land of the Dinosaurs: consonant clusters
• The Lost City: short/long vowel phonemes
• Planet Zizz: high frequency words
• The Swamp: comprehension
• The Tomb of King Heb: comprehension
