iansyst Newsletter March 2010 from dyslexic.com

Welcome

It appears that Spring has sprung upon us, with snowdrops, crocus and daffodils appearing in gardens, and for the last week I’ve not even had to de-ice the car before starting out for work each morning, so good news all round.
Speaking of good news, I was delighted to hear that the Nessy Learning Programme Deluxe won the Education Resources Award (ERA) in the category of “Special Educational Needs Resources or Equipment - Involving ICT”.

A huge amount of work was involved to produce such an excellent, intuitive and engaging resource for helping dyslexic pupils reach their full potential with reading, writing and spelling by using assessments, learning strategies, interactive games and more.
Incorporated in the programme is a fun, but informative ‘comic’ explaining the issues that children experience with dyslexia and how practical solutions can really make a difference to their confidence and ability to proactively learn.
